UDance was founded in 2007 by Jessie Forman and has grown substantially in thirteen years. The first UDance was held in the Trabant Student Center at University of Delaware and was sponsored by two Greek organizations - Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Epsilon Phi. In 2009, The Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation partnered with UDance and helped the event grow significantly. 

Today, UDance is an event that brings together the entire university community. Students spend the academic year raising awareness and funds in the fight against childhood cancer, and truly feel the cumulation of their efforts on the day of the event in the spring. UDance continues to benefit The B+ Foundation, which honors the memory of Andrew McDonough. Over the past 17 years, UDance has raised $16,503,119.50 For The Kids.

The Event Operations Team at UDance Dance Marathon is responsible for the logistical planning and execution of the annual event. This team coordinates venue selection, manages permits and organizational partnerships, and oversees event setup and breakdown. Their efforts ensure a smooth and safe experience for all participants, ultimately supporting the mission of raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer.
