Colm Ó Riain

Colm Ó Riain is an AI Advisor at Údarás na Gaeltachta since July 2024, focusing on generative AI strategies to enhance the Irish-speaking community and culture. Previously, Colm held multiple roles at the Machine Intelligence Research Institute from July 2016 to April 2024, including Head of Growth and Development Strategy, where responsibilities included coordinating philanthropic strategies. Colm has also served as Development Director at Harmony Project San Francisco, directing efforts to support under-served children through music, and experienced in software engineering roles at various organizations, including Zynga, Electronic Arts, and Page 44 Studios. Colm holds an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Rochester and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from University College Dublin.
