Angelo Chetcuti

Angelo Chetcuti is an experienced professional in the fields of sport law, governance, and public relations. Currently serving as a Press Officer for the European Parliament since January 2025, Angelo has also been a member of the UEFA National Team Competitions Committee and a UEFA Match Delegate since February 2017. As a lecturer in Sport Law and Governance at the University of Malta since October 2015, Angelo has made significant contributions to the academic community. Previous roles include General Secretary of the Malta Football Association from December 2016 to December 2024 and Chairperson of the Local Organising Committee for the UEFA Under 19 European Championships in Malta 2023. With a solid foundation in press relations gained from earlier positions at the European Parliament and the European Commission, alongside legal expertise from various educational pursuits, including an LLM in Computer & Communication Law from Queen Mary University of London, Angelo is well-regarded in the realm of sport governance and law.
