Florian Simmen

Florian Simmen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in language services and sports governance. Currently serving as an Executive Committee member of the Swiss Handball Federation since September 2022, Florian has held the role of Head of Language Services at UEFA since October 2000, where responsibilities also include German translation and terminology. Prior to these roles, Florian worked as an Assistant in Terminology at Université de Genève from August 1999 to July 2004. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Translation from the University of Geneva, a Master’s degree in European Sport Governance from Sciences Po, a second Master’s degree in Automated Language Processing from the University of Geneva, a Technical Diploma in Terminology from the University of Geneva, and an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from CRPM.
