Les Howie

Les Howie is an experienced football development professional currently serving as a UEFA Grassroots Mentor and Head of Football Development for the Twinning Project since July 2021. Prior to these roles, Les held various significant positions at The Football Association from 1998 to 2020, including Head of Grassroots Delivery and Senior Lead FA Education Relations, focusing on enhancing education support in grassroots football. Les's career began as Sports Development Manager for North Tyneside Council and included serving as Company Secretary for Nottinghamshire Clubs for Young People, where support for over 60 voluntary organizations was provided. Les holds a Certificate in Community and Youth Work from Sunderland Polytechnic and completed education at Burnside High.
