Michael Hughes

Michael Hughes has extensive experience in sports event management, currently serving as Venue Director at UEFA since September 2023, and previously held the position of Match Delegate from July 2021 to July 2023. Prior to joining UEFA, Michael held multiple roles at the Scottish Football Association from April 2013, including Football Operations Manager and Senior Event Manager, with specific responsibilities during UEFA Euro 2020 in Glasgow as Covid/Hygiene Officer and Spectator Services Manager. Michael's earlier experience includes working as an Event Manager at Fusion Meetings and Events from July 2011 to April 2013. Michael holds a BA (Hons) in Events Management from Queen Margaret University and a UEFA Certificate in Football Management.
