UEFA Director - Social & Environmental Sustainability

Michele Uva has extensive experience in sports management, currently serving as UEFA Director of Social & Environmental Sustainability since September 2017, focusing on integrating UEFA's business activities with social responsibility and sustainability. Previously, Michele held the position of UEFA Vice President and has served in various roles within UEFA's committees. From 2014 to 2018, Michele was the Chief Executive Officer of the Italian Football Association (FIGC), implementing reform programs and strategic development plans. Earlier career highlights include serving as CEO of the Italian Olympic Committee, Chief Development Officer at FIGC, and leading managerial roles at several football and basketball clubs, including Parma Calcio 1913 and S.S. Lazio. Michele's early career achievements in women's volleyball include significant success as CEO of Parmalat Women Volleyball and President of the Women’s National League. Michele holds a Laurea in Pharmacy from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
