Nuno Castro

Nuno Castro currently serves as the Director of Refereeing for the Kazakhstan Football Federation since April 2025. With extensive experience in refereeing and sports administration, Nuno has held multiple roles within UEFA, including Referee Coach, Refereeing Convention Panel member, and Referee Observer since July 2009. Nuno is also a member of the Refereeing and Judgment Committee at the Comité Olímpico de Portugal since July 2017. Previously, Nuno worked at the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol from November 2011 to April 2025 as the Technical Director of the Refereeing Academy, Head of the Refereeing Department, and Vice Chairman of the Refereeing Committee. Nuno has held various administrative positions, such as Head of HR and Administration at Câmara Municipal de Oeiras and Head of Procurement at Oeiras Municipality. Nuno holds degrees in Economics and Management from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, and has pursued further studies in Public Management and Business Management at respective institutions.
