Rob Esteva

Data Services Specialist at UEFA

Rob Esteva has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Rob started their career as Deputy Manager in the World Football Department at Press Association in 2002. After that, they worked as the Head of Analysis & Trading Operations at Smartodds, where they used their statistical expertise to analyze past football match data and develop mathematical models for predicting match outcomes. In 2006, they became a Director at Brentford FC. Rob then joined UEFA in 2009, initially in the Data Services division and later as a Data Services Specialist. In 2011, they founded In Sport Sàrl and also became the Director of Sports Research & Analysis at Onside Analysis Ltd. Rob continued their involvement with UEFA until 2013, while also serving as Managing Director at The Stats Zone Ltd from 2015 and Director of Football Operations at Altrincham Football Club from 2017. Overall, Rob Esteva has held various roles involving data analysis, research, and management in the sports industry.

Rob Esteva obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Hispanics, and French from the University of Liverpool between 1998 and 2002. Rob then pursued further education by completing a Master of Arts degree in International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport from Fifa Master in the year 2006.
