Azhar Ahmad

Azhar Ahmad has extensive experience in internal audit management, currently serving as Head of Section in Group Internal Audit at UEM Edgenta Berhad since August 2017. In this role, Azhar oversees the development of annual plans and budgets, while managing audit teams to ensure effective execution of assurance assignments. Previously, Azhar held leadership positions at Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad and DRB-HICOM Berhad, contributing to compliance and audit planning. Azhar's career in internal auditing began at Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn. Bhd., with further roles at Nationwide Express, Perodua, Goodyear Malaysia Bhd, and a significant tenure at DRB-HICOM. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wollongong, a Master of Business Administration from UNITAR Education Group, and ongoing pursuit of a Doctorate in Business Administration at UNITAR Education Group.
