Jakob Hedberg

Jakob Hedberg is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as a Scientific Director at Uppsala Clinical Research Center (UCR) since November 2024 and as a Clinical Trial Lead at Akademiska sjukhuset since January 2021, focusing on significant trials in esophageal and gastric cancer treatments. Hedberg holds positions on various influential committees, including the Steering Committee for the NEEDS trial and national lead for the PERISCOPE II Study group, and has contributed to medical publishing as a member of the editorial boards for the Annals of Surgical Oncology and BJS Open. Furthermore, Hedberg has been a Senior Examiner for the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and served as a Clinical Investigator for Cancerfonden, specializing in cancer research.
