Robert Mixson, P.E., S.I. is an experienced civil engineer currently serving as a member of the Building Code Adjustment Board for the City of Jacksonville since May 2023. In addition, Robert has been a BID Manager/Threshold Engineer at Universal Engineering Sciences since March 2019, where responsibilities include leading a team of over 40 licensed building inspectors and plan reviewers in the NE Florida region. Previous roles include geotechnical project manager and project manager positions with ECS Florida, LLC, and ECS Carolinas, as well as an engineering technician at Geohazards, Inc., where Robert conducted tests for sinkhole activity. Academic experience includes serving as a graduate teaching assistant and programmer/beta tester during studies at the University of Florida, where Robert earned both a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
