Christy Johns is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing. Currently serving as a Procedure RN at UF Health Proton Therapy Institute since February 2023, Christy has previously held positions as an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse and a Progressive Care Registered Nurse at Ascension from November 2018 to February 2023. Christy's earlier background includes roles as a Certified Lactation Counselor and Registered Nurse at RAINBOW PEDIATRIC CENTER, as well as a Registered Nurse at Tiny Travels. Additionally, Christy worked as a Corporate Administrator at Bernie's Tool & Fastener Services, Inc. from January 2007 to August 2018. Academically, Christy holds a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing, along with an Associate of Science and an Associate of Arts, all from Florida State College at Jacksonville.

The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute is designated as a Florida Cancer Center of Excellence and is one of the first proton therapy facilities in the nation to be accredited in radiation oncology by the American College of Radiology.
