Ann Malec

Ann Malec, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Nursing and Patient Care Services at UF Health, overseeing 638 full-time equivalents and managing a $75 million operating expense budget. With extensive experience at UW Health, Ann held several leadership positions, including Director of Medical-Surgical Nursing and Director of Medical Nursing, where responsibilities encompassed operational and financial management for nursing divisions. Earlier roles at Life Masters Supported Self-Care and University of California Davis Medical Center focused on disease management and intensive care, respectively. Ann holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Systems Leadership from Rush University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Edgewood University.
