David Shireman

David Shireman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David started their career as a Food Quality Chemist at Frontier Natural Products CO-OP in 1998. From there, they joined Intermec Technologies in 2000 where they held various roles including Senior Engineer - Automated Tools Development and Software Engineer - System Integration and Test. At Intermec Technologies, they played a key role in implementing a C# based Continuous Integration automated testing system and introduced unit testing to the company's software development practices. In 2013, David moved to Honeywell Scanning & Mobility and served as a Software Engineer III - Automated Tools Development. Here, they spearheaded the conversion of the SQL based data storage system to a NoSQL implementation using MongoDB. David also maintained and improved the test data repositories and analysis website used by the Continuous Integration system. In 2015, David joined TaxAct as a Software Engineer III. David'sresponsibilities included laying the groundwork for transitioning to an automated build and release process and maintaining customer-facing web sites. David also assisted in the development and maintenance of an AngularJS site for customer preferences and information. Most recently, David worked as a Sr Application Developer I at UFG Insurance starting in 2017.

David Shireman graduated with a BA in Chemistry from Coe College in the year 1995. David further pursued their education and obtained a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Utah between the years 1995 and 1997. After that, David enrolled again at Coe College and completed another BA, this time in Computer Science, from 1998 to 2002.
