Tyler Randall

Technical Lead at UFG Insurance

Tyler Randall has a strong background in technology support and software management. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Technology Support Specialist at Keystone Area Education Agency, where they troubleshooted, configured, and installed software and hardware components on Windows and Macintosh computers. Tyler also assisted in setting up VMware hosts with Windows servers and managed user/computer management and software distribution using AD and Casper. Additionally, Tyler maintained wireless/wired networks, managed enterprise filtering and anti-virus, and provided technical support to teachers and students.

From 2015 to the present, Tyler has been employed at UFG Insurance. Tyler started as a Software Support Specialist and was responsible for assembling, configuring, testing, and installing PC hardware components. Tyler also recommended, tested, configured, and installed software and performed software upgrades to keep production software up-to-date. Later, they became a Software Support Specialist II, where they took on additional responsibilities such as administrator of patch and software deployments for corporate computer endpoints, administrator of Mobile Device Management, and manager of IT assets and software license management. Currently, Tyler serves as a Technical Lead at UFG Insurance, where they engineer and manages centralized operating system deployment environments, Unified Endpoint Management solutions, and Mobile Device Management systems.

Tyler Randall began their education at Hawkeye Community College in 2007, where they studied general education and technology classes. Tyler then attended Northeast Iowa Community College from 2008 to 2009 but did not earn a degree or specify a field of study. In 2010, Tyler enrolled in Kirkwood Community College and obtained a diploma in PC repair in 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Tyler has obtained several certifications. In 2012, they earned the Firefighter I certification from the Fire Service Training Bureau, and in 2013, they obtained the Firefighter II certification from the same institution. In 2015, Tyler achieved the Apple Certified Associate - Mac Integration 10.10 and the Apple Certified Associate - Mac Management Basics 10.10 certifications from Apple. Tyler also obtained the Google Apps Administrator Fundamentals certification from Google in the same year. Tyler furthered their professional qualifications with a series of certifications related to Manage Engine products. In 2017, they achieved the Manage Engine Product Associate title - Desktop Central, followed by the Manage Engine Certified Product Associate - Desktop Central certification in 2019. Also in 2019, Tyler obtained two additional certifications from ManageEngine: the Manage Engine Certified Product Professional - Desktop Central and the Manage Engine Certified Product Associate - Mobile Device Manager.
