Safiya Francis

Safiya Francis is an accomplished educational professional with extensive experience in various teaching and leadership roles within the NYC Department of Education since 2004. Currently serving as a Staff Developer and Instructional Coach at UFT Teacher Center since August 2016, Safiya has also held multiple positions at the NYC Department of Education, including Special Education Science Teacher, Special Education Coordinator/Liaison, 10th Grade Team Leader, and Special Education Department Chair. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Health Services from Stony Brook University, a Master of Science in Special Education from Touro University, and an endorsement in Educational Leadership and Administration from Western Governors University.
