Leah Drake

Leah Drake began their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant for the Social Insect Research Group at Arizona State University. During their time there, they maintained parts of the lab and up to 40 colonies of leaf-cutter ants, traveled to Australia for research, and presented research at poster conferences. In 2010, they became a High School Science Teacher for the San Francisco Unified School District. In 2013, they took on the role of Director of Product for First Page Sage and Blog Writer for Accelrys. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer for The RealReal, where they were responsible for developing new features throughout the platform and maintaining and enhancing existing behavior. In 2018, they joined UGallery as Head of Technology, where they were a major supporter of Alex Farkas and their mission to support emerging artists and spread the joy of living with original art.

Leah Drake obtained a B.S. in Biology from Arizona State University, followed by a Masters in Teaching from the University of San Francisco with a focus on High School Biology and Chemistry. Leah also attended App Academy. Additionally, Leah is a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
