Steven Kakonge is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in agricultural investment and relationship management. Currently serving as the Senior Investment Manager for Agriculture at Uganda Development Bank since September 2020, Kakonge's earlier roles include Senior Relationship Manager at Stanbic Bank Uganda, where responsibilities centered on agri-corporate relationship management, and Agribusiness Development Manager at dfcu Bank, focusing on the qualitative growth of the agriculture loan portfolio. Kakonge also gained valuable experience as a Credit Manager at Centenary Bank, concentrating on portfolio growth and delinquency management. Academically, Kakonge holds an MBA in Project Management and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a specialization in Agricultural Economics from Makerere University, complemented by advanced secondary education certificates from St. Mary's College Kisubi and St. Mary's School Nairobi.
