Barbara Daisy Nabuweke

Barbara Daisy Nabuweke is an experienced legal and compliance professional currently serving as the Head of Contracts and Negotiations at Uganda National Oil Company Limited since January 2018. Key achievements include participation in the launch of the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Upstream and Pipeline project in Uganda. Prior to this, Barbara worked as a Legal and Compliance Advisor at Tullow Uganda, where contributions included influencing new laws and regulations, developing a regulatory tracker, and managing compliance training. Earlier roles at Standard Chartered Bank Uganda Limited involved oversight of legal and compliance issues within Consumer Banking, as well as responsibilities for legal risk management and training development. Barbara holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University.
