Carlijn Huijsmans

Carlijn Huijsmans is an experienced professional in innovation consulting and funding, currently serving as the Director and Owner of Ugoo B.V., a fast-growing consultancy for tech and IT companies, since September 2016. As part of the management team, Carlijn focuses on addressing innovation and financial needs while closely monitoring market developments. Carlijn's previous role at SURFmarket involved an internship in the innovation program for Open Access, where research was conducted on the transition from subscription to open access business models in scientific publishing. Educationally, Carlijn holds a Master's degree in Innovation Sciences and has studied Science and Innovation Management, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science and Innovation Management, all from Utrecht University. Carlijn's academic foundation was established at Stedelijk Gymnasium Breda, where a focus on Nature & Technology and Nature & Health was pursued.
