Kemal Koçak was born in Ayvalipınar Village of Amasya in 1948. After graduating from Ayvalipınar Village Primary School, he started his secondary education as a boarding student at Akpınar Primary School in 1961. He graduated from Istanbul Higher Teachers School Preparatory Science High School in 1966. He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Science, Department of Physics (daytime), and Istanbul Higher Education School (night) at the same time in 1971. Kemal Koçak, who started his career as a Physics Teacher in a private teaching institution, received the “Teacher Who Sends Students to the University in Turkey” award as a result of a survey conducted during his years of service.

Kemal Koçak's books, which were published in 1974 under the titles “Increasing Science Score”, in 1975 as “Entrance to Academies” and in 1977 as “Resolved Physics Test”, attracted great attention. Kemal Koçak, who founded Uğur Dershaneleri in July 1978, handed over his duties as the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, which he continued for 16 years, to his partners in 1994. Kemal Koçak, who founded the Private Uğur Education Institutions, which served in the 1990-1991 academic year in line with Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions, led the establishment of a different institution with his serious research and studies, as well as leading the institution to become a "World School" by gaining an international dimension. Kemal Koçak, who is married and has two children, speaks German and English.
