Bruce Ownbey

Bruce Ownbey is currently the Director of IT, Directory Services at Optum, having built a successful career at UnitedHealth Group since 2006. They have effectively managed enterprise security platforms and developed a unified IAM platform based on the SCIM standard. Previously, Ownbey served as a Senior Application Architect and Corporate Systems Wintel Platform Manager, where they played a crucial role in integrating multiple platforms and introducing the company's first single sign-on environment. They also have consulting experience from TEKsystems, where they facilitated technical deployments for various clients. Ownbey is pursuing a degree in Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
