Lara Gaines

Lara (Longo) Gaines, M.D., FAAFP, is an experienced Medical Review and Utilization Management Medical Director, as well as a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. They have served as the Medical Director at Centene Corporation and UnitedHealth Group from 2014 to 2019. Lara's career also includes roles as an Associate Medical Director at Community Health Choice and as a Family Medicine Physician at MEPS from 2019 to 2023. They earned their M.D. from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed their residency in Family Medicine at UTHealth Houston.
