Rhonda Robinson Beale

Rhonda Robinson Beale, MD, serves as the SVP Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Mental Health Services at UnitedHealth Group since April 2020, bringing over 30 years of experience in health care administration, provider systems design, and operational management within value-based networks. Prior to this role, Rhonda operated as a Senior Healthcare Consultant at Robinson Beale Health Consultant and held various leadership positions, including Chairman of the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation and SVP and Chief Medical Officer at Blue Cross of Idaho. Rhonda has contributed to the Institute of Medicine and the National Institute of Mental Health, focusing on health policies and mental health research strategies. Early in the career, Rhonda served as Chief Medical Officer for both Optum/United Behavioral Health and CIGNA Healthcare, and worked as Medical Director at Health Alliance Plan, where operational processes for behavioral health were developed. Rhonda obtained a Medical Doctorate in Psychiatry from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
