Tom Butera

Tom Butera, CPA, is a seasoned finance executive currently serving as Vice President of Financial Operations for National Railroad Plans at UnitedHealth Group, a position held since 2014. With extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, Tom has previously managed teams and led significant projects at various reputable organizations, including PricewaterhouseCoopers and CIGNA. Tom is an alumnus of GE's Financial Management Program and CIGNA's Financial Development Program, holding multiple degrees, including a BS in Finance and an MS in Accounting from Georgia State University. Currently pursuing an MBA in Management at the University of Hartford, Tom remains focused on furthering professional development through diverse and challenging roles.
