Scott McRuer

Scott McRuer, CPA, currently serves as Managing Director at UHY LLP, Certified Public Accountants, since November 2018, leading the Kansas City practice and offering UHY's distinctive "Next Level of Service." Previously, Scott was the Principal at Briarcliff Wealth Advisors, LLC from April 2012 to December 2023, and the Managing Member of McRuer CPAs from March 1988 to November 2018, where notable achievements included being recognized by "The Kansas City Business Journal" and "Ingrams Magazine" as a top 25 CPA firm owner in the area. Scott’s earlier experience includes roles as Corporate Audit Manager at H&R Block, Corporate Staffer at Emerson Electric Co., and Auditor at Price Waterhouse. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Westminster College and participation in the AICPA National Tax Education Program.
