Ricardo Pita

Ricardo Pita is an experienced engineering professional specializing in the railway sector. Currently serving as a member of the UIC-Rail Expert Group at the International Union of Railways since September 2020, Ricardo also works as an Inspection & Diagnostic Engineer at Infraestruturas de Portugal, focusing on rail inspection techniques such as ultrasonic inspection, rail corrugation, and rail wear. Prior experience includes serving as Site Manager for railway and catenary projects at Promorail, Quality Manager at OPWAY - SGPS, and Quality and Environmental Manager at opway, where responsibilities included the development and implementation of management systems and conducting audits. Ricardo's educational background features a postgraduate degree in Railway Engineering from ISEL, as well as qualifications in Civil Engineering and executive management.
