Daniel Colver, DBH, MA, LMFT

Daniel Colver has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health. Daniel served as a Behavioral Health Provider at Uintah Basin Medical Center and Uintah Basin Healthcare from February 2019. Daniel also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Utah College of Nursing starting from August 2020.

Before that, Colver was an Outpatient Therapist and later became the Clinical Manager at The Center for Couples & Families from November 2015 to May 2020, with a gap from June 2016 to October 2017 to fulfill the role of Clinical Manager. Daniel also worked as a Behavioral Health Consultant / Doctoral Intern at Southwest Spine and Pain Center from January 2018 to August 2018.

Colver provided outpatient therapy services for college-age adults as a Contracted Therapist at Utah Family Therapy - YES Clinic from May 2015 to June 2016. Daniel worked as a Primary Therapist and Clinical Practicum Intern at Telos Residential Treatment Center from January 2014 to December 2015, where they actively participated in clinical and treatment team meetings, conducted therapy sessions, maintained documentation, and conducted substance abuse counseling.

Colver gained experience as a Clinical Practicum Intern at Argosy University's mental health clinic from January 2013 to December 2013, where they conducted diagnostic assessments, provided therapy for individuals, couples, and families, and practiced effective treatment documentation. Daniel also had a brief internship experience as a Clinical Practicum Intern at Discovery Academy in 2013.

Additionally, Colver worked as a Student Assistant to the Associate Vice President of Engaged Learning at Utah Valley University from 2012 to 2013, where they handled event planning, correspondence, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks. Daniel was also an Intern for the UVU Peace and Justice Studies Program in 2012, assisting with website redesign, event promotion, and mentorship programs.

Overall, Colver's work experience spans various roles in the mental health field, including therapy, teaching, management, and administrative responsibilities.

Daniel Colver completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Behavioral Sciences with a Sociology Emphasis at Utah Valley University in 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at Argosy University, graduating in 2013. Daniel then enrolled in Arizona State University, where they achieved a Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) degree with a Clinical Concentration in Integrated Healthcare in 2018.

In terms of certifications, Daniel obtained their Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in April 2005. In January 2016, they became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) through the Utah Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL). Prior to this, in December 2013, they obtained the certification of Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) from the same institution. Most recently, in May 2021, they acquired the status of Utah MFT Approved Supervisor from UAMFT.
