Bex Barclay

Bex Barclay is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Education, working on various initiatives including Wraparound Childcare, Breakfast Clubs, Advanced British Standard Policy to Delivery, and T Level Industry Placement Policy since August 2022. Previously, Bex served as a Corporate Social Responsibility Executive and Graduate Recruitment Assistant at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and as a Policy Research Volunteer at Disability Rights UK, producing impactful policy reports for national advocacy. Early career experiences include roles as a Student Success Tutor at the University of Leeds, Junior Sales and Administrative Assistant at Watersons Estate Agents, and President of Women Breaking Barriers Leeds, leading the group to win a Leeds University Partnership Award. Bex holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Leeds and graduated from Altrincham Grammar School for Girls.
