Vicky Salt is an experienced professional in the fields of education policy and political advisory. Currently serving as a Special Adviser at the Department for Education since July 2024, Vicky previously held the role of Political Advisor to the Shadow Education Secretary with the Labour Party from November 2020 to September 2024. Prior to that, Vicky worked at Action on Smoking and Health (UK) in various capacities including Policy Manager and Senior Policy and Campaigns Officer from March 2016 to November 2020. Additional experience includes serving as an Academic Tutor at First Tutors and as a Parliamentary Assistant for The Salvation Army, where responsibilities included organizing MP visits and supporting policy research. Vicky began the professional journey as an Intern at Clarity4D, contributing to the development of a personality profiling tool for young people. Vicky holds a Bachelor's Degree in Politics, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Cambridge, obtained in 2015.
