UK Covid-19 Inquiry
Christopher Napier is an experienced professional currently serving as the Outreach into Schools Coordinator (Visiting Fellow) at Newcastle University's School of Computing since October 2023, focusing on engaging local schools. Christopher has held key positions in the UK Covid-19 Inquiry as Risk and Reporting Lead since January 2022 and previously worked at the Department for Education as a Governance and Assurance Officer during the critical period of the Coronavirus Response Unit. At Newcastle University, Christopher was the Lead Academic for Employability & Enterprise from June 2016 to January 2021, teaching various computer science modules while also contributing as a Teaching Assistant and Social Media Coordinator. Earlier roles include serving as Treasurer and Founding President of the Newcastle University Computing and Technology group and participating in a summer internship that aided the CS Support team. Christopher earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science with a focus on Teaching Innovation and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computing Science from Newcastle University.

UK Covid-19 Inquiry
This is the independent public inquiry to examine the UK’s preparedness and response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and to learn lessons for the future. The Inquiry has been established under the Inquiries Act 2005. This means that the Chair will have the power to compel the production of documents and call witnesses to give evidence on oath.
