Tara Hounslea is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in the fashion and textile industries. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) since September 2018, Tara previously held the role of Communications Manager. Prior to UKFT, Tara worked at EMAP as a contributor for Drapers, covering news and developments in fashion retail. At the World Textile Information Network, Tara served as Editor, managing two leading international textile trade magazines and various exhibition newspapers. Additionally, Tara has experience as a Writer/Sub Editor for ITE Group plc and as a Publishing Executive for Thomas Cook. Educational qualifications include a NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, an MA in Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire, and a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Leeds.
