Clayton Johnston has extensive work experience in the field of pharmacy. Clayton began their career as a Pharmacy Intern at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in 2010 and held this position until 2014. Following this, Clayton worked as a Health-System Pharmacy Administration Resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 2014 to 2016. Clayton then joined UK HealthCare in 2016 as the Associate Director of Pharmacy Services. In 2017, Clayton transitioned to the role of Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Kentucky.

Clayton Johnston obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014. Clayton then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School from 2014 to 2016. Before that, Clayton completed a Master of Arts degree in School Psychology from The University of Memphis in 2009.
