Sarah Lester DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CCRN-K, CENP, CPHQ has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Sarah Lester began their career in 2008 at UK HealthCare, where they worked as a Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit nurse until 2013. Sarah Lester then joined Baptist Physicians Lexington as a Family Nurse Practitioner for a short period before returning to UK HealthCare in 2014. At UK HealthCare, Sarah held various roles including Neurosciences Clinical Nurse Specialist, Director of Nursing Professional Practice and Excellence, and Director of Inpatient Wound Care. Currently, they serve as the Enterprise Director of Nursing Professional Practice and Excellence. Sarah's work experience showcases their expertise in clinical nursing, leadership, and professional practice.

Sarah Lester obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Kentucky, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Sarah Lester then pursued further education at the same institution and achieved a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Family Practice Nurse/Nursing, graduating between 2009 and 2013. In addition to their academic achievements, Sarah has obtained several certifications, including Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership in August 2019, Critical Care Registered Nurse-Knowledge Professional from the AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses) in May 2019, Stroke Certified Registered Nurse from the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing in May 2016, Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse from the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing in July 2015, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in July 2021, and Family Nurse Practitioner-Certified from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in May 2013.
