Craig Ranson has an extensive and diverse work experience in the field of sports and exercise medicine. Craig currently serves as a Board of Governors for The Royal Ballet School since February 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Athlete Health and Director of Performance Data at the UK Sports Institute starting from January 2017. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at Cardiff Metropolitan University as a Programme Director and Senior Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Craig also served as the National Men's Team Physiotherapist for the Welsh Rugby Union from October 2010 to January 2017. In addition, they had their own venture called JCR Sport Ltd, where they provided sports physiotherapy, consulting, and education services from July 2010 to January 2017. Craig Ranson also served on the Medical Committee of the International Cricket Council from 2008 to 2013. Craig has experience as a Team Physiotherapist for Kochi Tuskers Kerala IPL Cricket from March 2011 to January 2012. Furthermore, they worked as the Chief Physiotherapist for UK Athletics from February 2009 to July 2010 and as the National Lead Physiotherapist for the England and Wales Cricket Board from March 2005 to February 2009.
Craig Ranson obtained a Post Grad Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy from Curtin University, starting in 1989 and ending in 2007. Craig further pursued their education at the same university and completed their PhD in Sports Physiotherapy from 2003 to 2007.
