Matt Archibald

Matt Archibald has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Matt currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at UK Sports Institute since February 2022. Prior to that, they held the same role at GB Taekwondo from November 2017 to March 2022. Matt has also worked as a Sport Engagement Manager at British Olympic Association for a brief period in 2017. Matt gained extensive experience as a Performance Advisor at UK Sport from June 2013 to April 2017, where they were responsible for analyzing and improving the World Class Programme delivery. Moreover, Matt has held managerial positions in various organizations, including AIBA, London 2012, British Athletics, GB Boxing, and Sport England. Matt began their career as an Assistant Manager at Deloitte and worked there from August 1999 to December 2002.

Matt Archibald earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Studies from The University of Edinburgh from 1995 to 1999. Matt also obtained a Chartered Accountant (CA) degree from ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sport Management and the Business of Football from Birkbeck, University of London from 2004 to 2006.
