UK Young Academy
Kevin Woollard is a Senior Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, leading the Renal Leadership Team and serving as the CVRM Immunology Lead since March 2019. Previously, Kevin held positions as Senior Director and Director focusing on Early R&D and kidney regeneration, concentrating on target discovery and validation for Chronic Kidney Disease and Acute Kidney Injury. Concurrently, Kevin is a member of the UK Young Academy and has been an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Immunobiology at Imperial College London since August 2012, overseeing PhD and postdoctoral research on the cell biology of renocardiac disease. Kevin's academic career includes a Senior Lecturer role at the Centre of Inflammatory Disease, along with postdoctoral fellowships at King's College London, Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, and Roche. Kevin earned a PhD in Immunology and a BSc in Human Biology from Aston University.
