Huw Edwards

Huw Edwards has a strong background in public affairs and executive management. Huw began their career in 2002 at the Greater London Authority, where they served as a Senior Coordinator in the Mayor's Office. Here, they supported the management of the Mayor's relationship with the London business community and developed a strategic plan for the Mayor's engagement with India and China.

In 2006, Huw joined the Olympic Delivery Authority as a Government and Business Relations Manager. Huw held this position until 2011 and was responsible for managing government and business relations for the organization.

Following this, Huw worked at the Government Olympic Executive in the DCMS department as the Head of Dignitary and Ministerial Management from 2011 to 2012.

In 2012, Huw joined the Lawn Tennis Association as the Senior Public Affairs Manager. Huw held this role until 2016 and played a key role in managing public affairs for the organization.

Since 2016, Huw has been at ukactive, where they have held two positions. Huw started as the Public Affairs Director in 2016 and later became the Chief Executive Officer in July 2019.

Huw Edwards attended the University of Southampton from 1995 to 1998, earning a 2:1 degree in Politics and History.
