Kashif Ali has had a varied and successful career. Kashif began their professional journey in 2002 with a role as an Engineer at Platform Computing. Kashif also co-founded Kinocode Inc. that same year, where they designed and implemented MaxCrypt, an encryption software used by 150K+ people including commercial banks, world-wide. In 2011, they became a Post-doctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley, where they conducted research into building community cellular networks for remote and rural areas of the developing world. In 2014, they co-founded Endaga and in 2015, they became an Engineer at Facebook. Most recently, in 2020, they founded and became the CEO of Ukama.
Kashif Ali's education history includes a Doctorate from Queen's University in Computer Science from 2006 to 2011, a Master of Science from York University in Computer Science from 2004 to 2006, and a Bachelor of Science from York University in Computer Science from 1999 to 2004.
