Ruth Hughes has extensive experience in the fields of training, development, and regulatory management, currently serving as the Head of Training & Development (Operations) at the United Kingdom Accreditation Service since September 2011, following roles as Senior Assessment Manager and Assessment Manager. Prior experience includes Regulation Manager at the Human Tissue Authority from December 2007 to September 2011, and Mortuary Manager at Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust between July 1997 and December 2007, where responsibilities included overseeing pathology, post-mortem processes, bereavement management, quality management systems, health and safety, and adherence to NHS policies and procedures. Ruth Hughes has also received education from Southampton University Hospital Trust and the Royal Institute of Public Health.
