Julia Lemesh has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Julia currently serves as the President at Ukraine Global Scholars, a Boston-based organization that supports Ukrainian youth in their application process to top US boarding schools and colleges. Throughout their tenure at Ukraine Global Scholars, Julia has also been a Member of the Board, Head of Fundraising, and Legal Lead. Julia played a crucial role in helping students secure over $18M in scholarships, and they developed a successful fundraising strategy in the US and Europe, building relationships with foundations, community leaders, and the media.
In addition to their work at Ukraine Global Scholars, Julia has also held positions at the Professional Government Association of Ukraine as a Board Member, Imperial Tobacco as a Regulatory Manager and Corporate Affairs Manager, Moskalenko & Partners Law Firm as a Partner, Credit Europe Bank as a Legal Adviser, and the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) as a Press Secretary.
Julia Lemesh pursued their education in a progressive manner, focusing on law and finance. Starting from 2003 to 2009, they obtained a Masters in Law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Their studies encompassed various aspects such as Banking & Finance, Corporate Law, Constitutional Law of Ukraine and Foreign Countries, and Civil Law. Later, in 2010-2011, they completed an LLM degree in Banking & Finance at Queen Mary, University of London. Most recently, from 2022 to 2023, Julia attended Harvard Kennedy School as a Mason Fellow and obtained an MC/MPA degree in Public Administration.

Ukraine Global Scholars (UGS) is a non-profit organization that has helped 214 Ukrainian high school students from modest backgrounds receive $50+ million in scholarships to top global boarding schools and colleges. In exchange, students commit to returning to Ukraine for 5 years to rebuild the country.
