Amy Blood

Amy Blood currently serves as a Software Product Manager, Site Manager, and Senior Regulatory Consultant at UL Solutions since July 2012. Prior to this role, Amy was a Laboratory Demonstrator/Tutor at the University of Manchester from January 2008 to June 2011, supervising organic synthesis laboratory sessions for 2nd and 3rd year students. Amy's career began as a Research Chemist at QinetiQ, where a Year in Industry project focused on the mechanical properties of binders in HTPB composite propellants, emphasizing analytical methods and cross-departmental collaboration. Amy obtained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and an MChem in Chemistry (with a Year in Industry) from the University of Manchester, and completed secondary education at Tonbridge Grammar School for Girls.
