Chris James has extensive experience as a Principal Engineer at UL since July 1998, contributing to the investigation of a wide array of product types and maintaining numerous safety standards. In June 2021, Chris transitioned to the role of Principal Engineer Manager at UL Solutions, where responsibilities include managing the operations and administration of Principal Engineers within the Built Environment customer operating unit to achieve technical and operational goals. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University, and has recently completed the Technical Leadership Development Program at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2023.
