Chris Nelson possesses a strong background in engineering and management, having held various positions at UL and UL Solutions since 2008. At UL, roles included Associate Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer, and Engineering Leader for the Energy and Power Technologies team. Since August 2024 at UL Solutions, Chris has advanced to roles such as Engineering Manager in Gas & Oil Testing, Inspection, and Certification, and Business Manager for Renewable Energy Testing, Inspection, and Certification, as well as Engineering Manager for Electrical Distribution Testing, Inspection, and Certification. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and has furthered education through MIT Sloan Executive Education.
