Derek Greenauer is the Director of Global Government Affairs for UL, a position held since 2011. Based in Washington, DC, they lead a 7-member team dedicated to educating policymakers and promoting safe living and working environments worldwide. Prior to their current role, Derek worked with D&R International as a Program Manager, managing support for the ENERGY STAR program and other energy efficiency initiatives. They began their career as the Energy Program Manager for the New Hampshire Governor's Office of Energy & Community Services and held various leadership positions in energy and community services throughout the years. Derek earned a BA in Environmental Studies and Communications from Allegheny College and completed the UL Executive Leadership Program at Yale School of Management in 2016.
