Dwayne Sloan

Dwayne Sloan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in fire protection and engineering roles at UL, where employment began in 1988. Currently serving as Technical Director for the Built Environment Division, Dwayne leads a team of Principal Engineers focusing on critical areas such as fire suppression products, extinguishing systems, and personal protective equipment. Previously, Dwayne held managerial and engineering roles, including Engineering Group Leader and Project Engineer, demonstrating a strong background in product safety certification and fire protection technologies. Dwayne's educational qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and advanced management programs from the MIT Sloan School of Management and Yale School of Management.
