Gary M. Balash has extensive experience in the power and energy sector, currently serving as Senior Product Manager in the Reserve Power Division at East Penn Manufacturing Co. since March 1986. In addition to this role, Gary M. Balash is an active member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) as well as various IEEE organizations, including the Power Engineering Society and the IEEE Standards Association, contributing to the development of standards and practices for lead acid batteries. Since 2019, Gary M. Balash has been involved with UL's Standards Technical Panel and is a member of the NFPA, participating as an alternate voting member on Energy Storage Safety NFPA 855. Earlier career experience includes working as a designer at Gasboy. Gary M. Balash holds an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting Technology from Lincoln Tech and graduated from West Hazleton High School.
