Ian Smith

Ian Smith is currently a Product Manager for Automotive & Transportation Batteries at UL Solutions, where they establish and support the product vision for their segment. Previously, Ian served as a Manager of R&D at Southwest Research Institute, leading a team focused on lithium-ion battery testing and research. With experience in project management and technical oversight, Ian handled up to 40 concurrent projects, enhancing the organization's capabilities and customer relationships. Ian holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
