Ken Boyce is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience at UL Solutions since January 2010, where Ken currently serves as Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Ken leads the global principal engineering function across various sectors including energy, industrial automation, and security. Previously, Ken held positions such as Principal Engineer Director for Energy & Power Technologies, overseeing the development of standards and certification programs for renewable energy and power distribution systems. Ken's tenure at UL began in 1985 and includes roles from Assistant Chief Engineer to Managing Engineer. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and has participated in executive education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and will complete an Executive Certificate at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2024.
